In this episode, Aglaée interviewed Dr. Pauline Dillard, Ph.D.  to discuss birth trauma. This episode is a must listen whether you've had a birth trauma or not because it is something that a significant number of women unfortunately still experience today. We need to be able to either heal from it or support those around us that needs healing.

Topics discussed:

  2. The impact of birth trauma on motherhood and the postpartum period
  3. How others (friends, family, partner) can say or to do support women with birth trauma
  4. How to navigate disrespectful birth workers
  5. The benefits of asking for your medical records from the birth for closure
  6. How to prevent a birth trauma from impacting future pregnancies and labors
  7. How birth workers can heal from birth trauma
  8. Final tips and resources for women dealing with birth trauma

Dr. Pauline Dillard's Biography:

She has studied trauma following Cesareans, Post Partum Mood disorders and new parent adjustment disorders.
