In this episode, Aglaée interviews her birth doula, Dr. Shivaune Wright, and discuss how the immune system works and what we can do to boost our immunity using foods and other natural strategies to keep the whole family healthy this winter and all year round.

Dr Shivaune Wright's bio:

Dr Shivaune Wright is a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, and Birth Doula, registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Naturopathy from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, a rigorous 4-year full-time program, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Dr Wright has a general family practice in Ajax and East Toronto, with an interest in pregnancy & postpartum health, pediatrics, hormonal disturbances, stress management, digestive and immune health, detoxification, weight management, fertility. She is an active member of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors.

When she’s not furthering her knowledge of Naturopathic Medicine through courses and workshops, and working with patients in the clinic, Shivaune can be found raising her two young boys, experimenting in the kitchen, with dirty hands in the garden, traveling, biking, doing yoga and reading. She lives with her partner and their two children in the east end of Toronto.
