Jillian is a psychotherapist working with children (age 3-10) and their families. Prior to opening her practice, Asheville Child Therapy PLLC, in North Carolina, she worked in community mental health centers with at-risk children in the south Bronx in New York City for nearly a decade. Jillian's education and advanced training includes a Master's degree from Columbia University School of Social Work, completion of a fellowship with the National Health Service Corps, certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF CBT), and completion of post-graduate training to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). 

She is a graduate of the Association for Play Therapy’s Leadership Academy and she has served as a Board Director and Vice President of the New York Association for Play Therapy. Jillian has taught as an Adjunct Lecturer on the topics of Play Therapy, Trauma, and Resilience, has co-authored several publications including Dear Mr. Leprechaun: Nurturing Resilience in Children Facing Loss and Grief; Play Therapy with Children Facing Medical Challenges; The Use of Puppets in Psychodynamic Play Therapy. She is a frequent presenter in the topics of Play and Expressive Arts Therapies nationally, and recently internationally! Most importantly, Jillian respects and delights in the work of accompanying children on their journeys through hard times: from expressing big feelings, to uncovering bravery, setting healthy boundaries, and ultimately healing.

Bio:

Emily is a member of our Whole Mamas Pregnancy Program. She resides with her husband, Craig, daughter, Abigail, and dog in Annapolis, MD. Emily had her daughter when she was 35 years old. Abigail was born at 26.3 weeks. Emily and her family endured 314 days in the hospital, 275 of those days were spent in the NICU.

Emily and her husband completed a Whole30 while her daughter was in the NICU to help them feel their best during this difficult season. She feels compelled to tell her story so that it can help others know they’re not alone and offer support and advice to other NICU parents.

Dr. Erin Psota ND is a Toronto-based Naturopathic Doctor with a focus on children’s health, ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. She is committed to guiding parents through the maze of health care decisions so they can rest easy knowing they’re doing the best they can for their children. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Waterloo, she completed her medical studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2005. Following three years of private practice she completed a selective Pediatric Residency in 2010 at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.

In addition to her private practice, she is a clinical supervisor for naturopathic students completing their final year of schooling as clinical interns. Karen Kleiman, MSW is well known as an international expert on postpartum depression. Her work has been featured on the Internet and within the mental health community for decades. In 1988, Karen founded The Postpartum Stress Center, LLC, a treatment and training facility for prenatal and postpartum depression/anxiety disorders where she treats individuals and couples experiencing perinatal mood & anxiety disorders.  

Kleiman is also the author of several books on postpartum depression, including This Isn't What I Expected: Overcoming Postpartum Depression (1994), The Postpartum Husband: Practical Solutions for Living with Postpartum Depression (2001), What Am I Thinking?
